The Odd Fellows Lodge at Slaterville was organized November 1849. It continued about ten years and met at D Mulks dwelling house second story.

George D Beers of Ithaca born June 7, 1812 died October 12, 1880. He was a State Senator from the Tompkins district about the year 1844. Cyrus Beers his father was born 1786 and died at Ithaca July 5, 1850. He came to Ithaca from Delaware County and was once a member of Congress from the Tompkins County District.
