Ephraim Chambers lived in Caroline and then in Tioga, Oliver Huntington lived at or near Owego then in Broom and General John Smith lived on the Solomon Bryant place, Ithaca Hill, then in Seneca County.

Ithaca Hill is now called East Hill.

Widow Jemima Vandemark died on Bald Hill Caroline in 1855 age 77. She came to Caroline and settled on Bald Hill in 1814 being than a widow. Benjamin Vandemark, her husband was accidentally shot in the War of '12 in 1813. They were the ancestors of the Vandemark family in Caroline. Widow Vandemark was the daughter of James Personius a soldier of the Revolution who came with his family to Caroline in 1814 and lived with them till his death in 1836 aged 88-10-3 days.
