Gen. Simeon DeWitt was born at Wawarsing, New York, December 25, 1756. The son of a physician. Graduated Rutgers College in 1776. He died at Ithaca December 3, 1834. Rev. Dr. William Weiser was born at Warwick New York 1782. His father Henry Weiser was a revolutionary officer. He came to Ithaca and 1716. Ezra Cornell was born in 1807 came to Ithaca 1829.
Aaron B Hogan was born April 19, 1835.

Nancy Dennison wife of Benoni Mulks died April 21, 1817 and her 87th year. She was the first person buried in the Mulks cemetery at Slaterville. The second person buried there was the wife of James Freer, mother of Henry D. Freer and Peter O. Freer in 1822.
James Jacob Freer (1774–1864) married Dinah Davis (1783–1822). Two of their sons were Henry D. Freer (1800–1892) and Peter O. Freer (1810–1895).
James J. Freer was the brother of Cornelius Freer (1765–1840), the father of two sons, Jacob (1797–1893) and Richard (1805–1886), who married two sisters, Jane (1800–1867) and Magdalene (–1844), of David Mulks, the father of CFM.

April 16, 1892. I have before me several pages of an old account book by Matthew H. Jansen, a blacksmith who came who immigrated to Caroline in March 1802. The pages are not all continuous, many being gone, but those relate to the periods of time from 1802 to 1815.

This was my great grandfather who is charged 2/6. The name is everywhere through the account written thus Benjamin Nony Mulks. Some called him Ben for short and others Nony, but M.H.J got it all in as he thought it should be.
